Who did Taylor Swift write The Tortured Poets Department with?
There is currently no official word on Taylor Swift's The Tortured Poets Department collaborators so it's unclear if she's done the album with her longterm co-writers and producers or brought new people into the fold. However, there is a fan theory that she's made pretty much the whole album with her close friend and collaborator Aaron Dessner.
After making Folklore and Evermore with both Aaron Dessner and Jack Antonoff, Taylor made Midnights almost solely with Jack. Could she have switched approaches for TS11 and done a full album with Aaron? There's nothing to confirm this, other than the fact that Taylor was in the studio with Aaron in November 2023.
Someone who does appear to be involved with the album though is Louis Bell who Taylor worked with on Lover ('I Forgot That You Exist', 'Afterglow', 'It's Nice to Have a Friend'). He shared Post Malone's post about the album on Instagram stories.
Louis has previously worked on songs like Halsey's 'Without Me', Lana Del Rey's 'Fuck It, I Love You' and Post Malone's 'Circles'. An album with Louis and Aaron Dessner? I'm listening.
maybe she made midnights with jack because she was making all of the tortured poets department with aaron. makes you think.

What has Taylor Swift said about The Tortured Poets Department?
At the first date of the Asian leg of The Eras Tour (Feb 7), Taylor opened up about The Tortured Poets Department and when she started working on it. She said: "I’ve been working on Tortured Poets since right after I turned in Midnights…I’ve been working on it for about two years, I kept working on it throughout the US tour."
Taylor continued: "When it was perfect in my opinion, when it was good enough for you, I finished it. And I'm so so excited that soon you'll get to hear it, soon we’ll get to experience it together."
Speaking on stage in Melbourne, she explained that the album was a record she "needed" to make.
"Tortured Poets is an album — I think more than any of my albums that I’ve ever made — I needed to make it," she told the crowd. "It was really a lifeline for me. Just the things I was going through and the things I was writing about. It kind of reminded me of why songwriting was something that actually gets me through my life."
